The ocean beaches of East Hampton Village and Wainscott are among the most famous on Long Island, stretching from Two Mile Hollow to Sagg Main.
34) Two Mile Hollow Beach
A quiet East Hampton beach, less crowded than Main Beach. Popular with locals. Beautiful white sand and clear water.
35) Wiborg Beach
A small public beach near East Hampton Village. Named for the Wiborg family. Good swimming and relatively uncrowded.
36) Main Beach East
One of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Wide white sand, clear water, elegant bathhouse. Named one of the top beaches in the US by the Travel Channel. East Hampton Village residents only in summer (permit required).
37) Main Beach West
The western continuation of Main Beach. Similar amenities and beauty. Spectacular sunrises over the Atlantic.
38) Georgica Beach
A quieter alternative to Main Beach, near the Georgica Pond inlet. Popular with the artistic and literary community of East Hampton. Beautiful wild stretch of beach.
39) Wainscott Beach
A wide ocean beach in Wainscott, less visited than the East Hampton beaches. Good for long walks and surf fishing. No facilities but ample parking off-season.
40) Sagg Main Town Beach
The westernmost beach in our survey, technically in Southampton Town but beloved by East Hampton residents. Spectacular and wide ocean beach with a dramatic inlet from Sagaponack Pond. One of the best beaches on Long Island.
